The Progeny & The Prophecy
A holy man and former demon hunter in his youth, he later collected a group of children that he trained to become hunters. Very little is known about him before the origins of The Progeny, yet he controls a large mass of believers in addition to the hunters. Believing himself blessed with the gift of prophecy, he used the events to his benefit and solidified his following. Though his intentions are not known, he believes he has been ordained by God for a great purpose and that Eric Kade represents an evil that only he can suppress.
Ten men and women, aged twenty-nine to thirty-four, comprise the leaders of a sect of demon hunters. Each member controls three packs, made up of five hunters each. An additional army of roughly three hundred hunters are also available at all times and at the discretion of these ten members. No two Progeny members are ever assigned in the same country simultaneously and seldom function together as a single unit.
In the past thirty years, fifty-seven members have sat at the table of The Progeny. At present, the table is filled by only nine members following the banishment of member Eric Kade. Under their control are trackers, demon hunters, witch hunters, holy men, soldiers and doctors. The Progeny answers to a pair of advisors who directly report to the leader of the group, The Father.
Present members of The Progeny include Finley Bailiss, Rea Gavin, Dacey Huxley, Lucinda James, Johnny McClary, Morris Neland, Tassere Oded, Andrew Stonehammer and Victor Young.
Proclaimed by The Father as a message from God, the prophecy vaguely references turmoil between the members of The Three. Singled out in the prophecy, Eric Kade will reportedly turn on fellow members Dacey Huxley and Johnny McClary. During a fight, Eric will kill Johnny and set in motion a wave of mutiny throughout The Progeny. Eric will then kill The Father and command The Progeny, which will lead to the ultimate downfall of mankind.
Upon prophesying of these events, The Father ordered the imprisonment of Eric Kade. Though Eric was captured, he managed to escape and has since caused a great deal of turmoil throughout The Progeny. During this crisis, The Father has united hundreds of his soldiers and has insisted that Eric not be killed. Still, there are members working against their leader who feel all will be settled with Eric out of the way.
